Chocolate Chip Cookies🍪

Everyone needs a classic chocolate chip cookie recipe in their repertoire, and this is mine. It is seriously the Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe Ever! I have made it so many times and it never goes wrong😍

INGREDIENTS-

  1. Butter - 180 gms

  2. Powdered sugar/Castor Sugar - 1 cup levelled or 180 gms

  3. Baking soda - 5gms or 1 Tsp

  4. Boiling water - 1/8 cup or 30 ml

  5. Vanilla essence - 1 Tsp or 5 ml

  6. All purpose flour(Maida) - 220 gms (1+3/4 cup)

  7. Cocoa powder - 2 Tbsp

  8. Chocochips or chocolate chunks - 1/4-1/2 cup

NOTES-

  1. You can substitute maida with whole wheat flour or half maida and half almond flour.

  2. Baking soda and boiling water will act as an egg substitute.

  3. You can use 100 gms brown sugar with 80gms castor sugar.

  4. The dough won’t have a hard consistency it will be very soft.

  5. You can increase the chocolate proportion to your choice. Also you can substitute with white chocolate or any other chocolate. You can use plain dairy milk too.

  6. The cookies become crispy after you take it out of the oven and leave it for 10 mins. Do not make the mistake of over baking them. When you can see cracks it means your cookies are done.

PROCESS-

First measure all your ingredients. In a large mixing bowl add butter and beat it until really soft and fluffy. Add sugar to it and beat again until it is well combined.

Add vanilla essence and flour (Maida) and mix well. The texture should be sandy.

Now measure your baking soda and add it in boiling water. Immediately add this to your flour mixture. Mix it well until you have a smooth dough. Fold in the dark chocolate/chocochips to it.

Next, take a cling wrap and put all the dough into it and keep it in the fridge for 2 hours minimum. It is very important to rest your cookie dough in the fridge. Now after two hours preheat your oven to 165 degrees C. Meanwhile in a baking tray make small balls of cookie dough and place it on the tray. You don’t have to grease the tray as the dough has alot of butter to it. You can place parchment paper in the tray but it is not necessary.

Next bake the cookies for 15 mins at the same temperature. While taking out it will be really soft and will easily break. Don’t think that it is under baked and bake it in the oven until crispy. The cookie remains soft, you have to put it in the cooling rack or a plate for atleast 10 mins for it to become crispy in normal room temperature.

Serve your cookies with milk or enjoy them while watching movies or as a dessert.♥️
