Strawberry Basil Icecream🍓🌱
This is a very unique flavour combination yet so delicious.
Once you start eating this icecream, there’s no way you are going to stop! My sister suggested this and trust me it’s the best! This post is dedicated to you divya🤩
Servings - 8 people
Whipping cream - 1 cup (Sunrise pure gold)
Milk - 1 cup
Milkmaid - 1/4 cup
Milk powder - 1/4 cup
Powdered sugar - 1 tbsp
Basil leaves - 10-15
Strawberries - 5-6
Chopped strawberries- 1/2 cup
Pink gel colour - 2 drops (optional)
Take whipping cream in a bowl and whip until stiff peaks. Start with a slow speed and gradually increase the speed.
Now add milk and beat it again. After sometime add milkmaid and milk powder. Beat it well.
Do not add hot milk in the whipping cream mixture. Use normal temperature milk or cold milk.
Grind strawberries and basil together for a purée.
Add powdered sugar and add 1/4 cup of puree. You can add entire puree.
Whipping cream already has added sugar so do not add too much sugar.
Now beat it again. The colour of this icecream will not look like the store bought one but definitely has a better flavour.
Add the food colour to it and beat again. Also add some of the chopped strawberries.
Now pour this mix into a container you want to store the icecream in. Top it with remaining chopped strawberries. Take the cling wrap and wrap it touching the surface cover it.
We cover it by touching the surface so that there is no air inside and icecream does not have an icy texture.
Refrigerate it for 5 hours or overnight. Finally scoop it and serve🤩
