Strawberry bread butter pudding🍓
The baking of lockdown continues and it’s more bread and butter puddings in my house. This delicious Strawberry Bread and Butter Pudding is easy to make and is topped with fresh chopped strawberries and oven baked. It is a great family favourite pudding recipe and easy dessert to make at home.
Sandwich bread slices - 6
Whipped strawberry butter - 3 tbsp (1 tbsp for each pair)
Milk - 2 cups (1.5 separate and 1/2 cup separate)
Custard powder - 1.5 tbsp
Powdered sugar - 1/2 cup
Chopped strawberries- 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup depending on the taste
Take bread slices and apply our strawberry whipped butter on them.
Recipe for the whipped strawberry butter-
Now cut them into small squares. Each slice should be cut into 9-12 squares.
Now heat 1.5 cups of milk in a saucepan. In the remaining 1/2 cup add powdered sugar and custard powder.
Now when the milk is boiling add the custard mixture slowly slowly into the milk.
Let it boil and keep stirring till it becomes a little thick.
Now, take a baking dish. Pour some custard into it. Do not pour entire custard. You can pour approximately 1/4-1/2 cup custard.
Arrange bread slices and chopped strawberries into the dish.
Now repeat the layers. Again pour custard, bread slices and strawberries. Pour some leftover custard on the top too.
Now bake it at 180 degrees C for 15-20 minutes or until it turns a little brown in colour.
Your strawberry bread and butter pudding is ready! Serve it plain or with icecream as per choice🍓🥰
