Strawberry Vanilla Panna Cotta🍓🤩
A very simple dessert and so easy to make with just a handful of ingredients.
Panna Cotta is one of those sophisticated desserts that's also simple enough to make for a weekend treat. It's one of my favorite no-bake desserts to make.
Ingredients for 12 shot glasses
For vanilla panna cotta-
Milk - 200ml or 1 cup
Whipping cream - 200ml or 1 cup
Gelatin powder - 1/2 Tbsp
Powdered sugar - 1/4 cup
Vanilla essence - few drops
For strawberry jelly-
One pack of strawberry jelly (Weikfield brand or any other) and 3 cups boiling hot water
If you want to use homemade then-
Strawberry puree - 1.5 cups
Gelatin powder - 1 tsp
Water - 2 tbsp
For Vanilla Panna cotta-
Dissolve gelatin in 2 tbsp cold water and let it swell for about 5 to 10 minutes.
In a medium saucepan bring the cream, milk and sugar to a simmer over medium-low heat.
Do not boil otherwise it will curdle up and turn salty.
When sugar has dissolved remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Let cool for 5 minutes before adding the gelatin.
Add gelatin in the milk mixture and stir until the gelatin has completely dissolved.
Pour it in the serving glasses or ramekins as shown in the video.
I have used kitchen stand here. You can pour straight also. If pouring straight pour only till the half. Now let it sit at room temperature for 10-15 mins and refrigerate it for an hour.
For the strawberry jelly-
Prepare strawberry mixture 1 tsp of gelatin in 2 tbsp warm water.
Mix well and dissolve gelatin completely.
Further, add 1.5 cups of strawberry puree.
Mix well making sure the pulp gets mixed up with gelatin uniformly. Pour the strawberry mixture into the glass.
For the store bought jelly-
This is the one i used.
Take out all the contents in a large bowl. Mix the sachet contents from inside well.
Now take 3 cups of boiling water and add into the crystals.
Now let it cool down for 2 mins.
Pour this mixture on top of the vanilla panna cotta.
Refrigerate it for 2-4 hours and enjoy🤩
