Tandoori paneer multigrain wrap🌮
It is the most delicious yet the healthiest meal one can have and so so so easy to cook! I saw Anahita Dhondy post a similar wrap and I couldn’t resist making it😃
The ingredients look alot but when you make it, you will feel it is made with few ingredients. All regular kitchen staples.
INGREDIENTS-
Ingredients for 7-8 wraps. I have tried to be very precise in the ingredients list. You can skip anything you dont want to add.
Also the quantities mentioned are according to my choice you can change it as per your preference.
For the tandoori paneer filling-
Paneer - 200gms cut into small cubes
Curd - 4 tbsp
Gram flour (Besan) - 3-4 tbsp
Ajwain - 1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder - as per your taste
Salt - as per taste
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Garam masala - 1/4 to 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Kasuri methi - 1 tbsp
Chaat masala - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Oil
Other spices and sauces as per your choice
For the salad-
Capsicum - 1 big (julienne cut)
Cabbage - 100-200gms (juliennes)
Carrots - 2 (juliennes)
Onions - 1 big (julienne cut)
Bell pepper - 1 yellow and 1 red (juliennes)
Chopped garlic (optional)
Barbecue mayo - 1 tbsp (optional)
Southwest chipotle sauce - 2 tbsp (optional)
Harissa chilli cumin dressing - 1 tbsp (optional)
Mustard sauce - 1 tbsp
Salt and black pepper powder
Now if you do not have mentioned sauces you can simply add mayonnaise, a little vinegar, chilli sauce and sandwich spread.
For assembling-
Multigrain cooked chapatti
Paneer filling
Salad
Mint mayonnaise (can be substituted with regular mayonnaise )
Sriracha sauce (chilli sauce)
Cheese sauce (Melt 2 tbsp of cheese spread and mix it with 1 tbsp of mustard sauce)
PROCESS-
1. Paneer filling-
Take a small mixing bowl. In that add all the ingredients i have mentioned except paneer and oil. All the spices, curd and besan flour. Mix it well.
Take a nonstick pan. Add 1 tbsp of vegetable oil. Add paneer cubes and sauté them for a minute.
Now add the prepared marinate and cook it until all the paneer cubes are covered in the marinate. Mix it really well. Taste and add more salt if required. Your filling is ready.
2. For the salad-
Take a nonstick pan again. You can use the same one in which you cooked paneer.
Add very little oil. Add garlic and carrots first.
The reason to add carrots is because we want them to be a little soft. If making during winters and using red carrots you donot have to make them soft. Add them after onions.
Now add onions and sauté them for a minute. Add rest of the peppers. Add salt and black pepper powder. Remember we will not add cabbage in this.
Now take it in a large mixing bowl and add all the sauces and cabbage to this when it cools down a bit.
3. Cheese sauce-
Take 2 tbsp of amul cheese spread and microwave it for 30 secs or less until its little melted. Now add mustard sauce to it. You can also substitute mustard sauce with schezwan chutney or any chilli sauce.
Now assembling the wrap-
First spread the cheese sauce into the wrap as shown in the video. Now add paneer filling. Top it with the salad. Top it with mint mayonnaise and sriracha sauce. Your wrap is ready to eat. Serve it immediately.
